Klaviyo, Director (IC)
As a Director in an IC role, conscious agreements are crucial to a team's ability to make progress in ambiguous and quickly changing conditions. I worked closely with my Managing Director to form these agreements around planning, reviews, and approvals in a flexible, real-time way. Themes include:
Responsive movement between multiple squads, channels, and initiatives
Strategic, creative, and technical approaches to concepting and execution
Prioritizing and planning with Producers for short and long term workflows
Determining where to direct and where to take direction
Navigating IPO in a supporting role
Root Inc, Director (manager)
As a people leader, I was responsible for a team of 5–7 designers, spanning Email, Web, Social, Campaign, and Internal Comms. Choosing where to go deep, and where to zoom out of each team's work was crucial to this role—as was taking chances on what individuals may need to grow and gain confidence. Themes include:
Team building, hiring, and leveling
CMS development of design system, content migration, and optimizations
Tailoring approach to B2C, B2B/Enterprise, and internal audiences
Agile workflow using Scrum methodology
Complex management with direct and dotted lines
Navigating IPO in a leadership role
Various clients (contractor)
For 2 years, I covered maternity leaves back to back. I love integrating with teams in times of transition. My broad history with marketing channels, systems, roles, and materials make this possible with clients like:
Bath & Body Works, DSW, Highlights for Children, EXPRESS, Justice, Lane Bryant, Root, and Klaviyo.
